WHO WE ARE...

 
The Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Project (LAWTP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is

dedicated to the education, support, promotion and production of live performance projects,

that are of interest and benefit to women.

THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR ORGANIZATION

 
Although great strides have been made in other fields, women continue to face enormous

employment discrimination in the arts and media.

Statistically,  Women comprise only 20% of the working professionals in American Theatre.

80% are male.  The LAWTP’s mission is to create opportunities for women in the Performing Arts.
